Meet Nancy
M.A., CCC-SLP
Owner/Speech-Language Pathologist
Hey there! My name is Nancy and I'm so glad that you are here!
I am a wife, mom, and practicing speech-language pathologist for 24 years, most of those years primarily spent working with pediatrics. I spent 20 years working in the pediatric medical outpatient setting and have also spent 6 years in the school systems.
While I work with children with a variety of speech and language disorders, my passion and areas of specialization are in working with children with speech sound disorders (articulation disorders, phonological disorders, apraxia), language delays, and pediatric feeding disorders (picky eaters).
My services focus on children aged 0-5 with speech sound disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, and pediatric feeding disorders (picky eaters). I use best practices and work closely with the family to improve skills and promote mastery. I understand the need for activities to be easy, fun/play-based, versatile, and functional. I also know how critical it is to empower parents with knowledge and information to support skills at home. No teacher is as effective as the child's parent!

Getting Started:
Free Consultation and Screenings (for ages 0-5)
Let's Talk!
As a parent, you may have concerns that your child is exhibiting a speech sound disorder, an expressive and/or receptive language delay/disorder or feeding difficulties (picky eater). Every child is different, but generally, if you have a concern, you should act as soon as possible to see if your child would benefit from an assessment. There is no benefit in the "wait and see" approach. I am a firm believer in early intervention and outcomes are better the earlier we can begin speech therapy services. If you have questions, I'm always happy to talk and answer your questions and/ or to provide a free screening. Early Intervention is critical!
Assessment
Gathering the Details!
After your free consultation, if it is determined that further information regarding your child's speech/language or feeding skills is needed, we will schedule an assessment. Assessment may include formal/standardized assessments, informal tasks, observation and parent/child interview. An evaluation may take 1-2 sessions and can be 1-1.5 hours in length. Following assessment and interpretation of results, the therapist and parent will discuss findings to determine next steps.
Treatment
Making a Plan!
Following the assessment, an individualized plan of care will be developed to target areas of need and to determine frequency of sessions. Sessions are scheduled for 30 minutes (25 minutes of treatment with 5 minutes of parent education) and may be scheduled weekly or every other week.
